A pioneer in the field of family violence:
Dale set up the first program for court ordered men who have assaulted their wives in BC. He now travels across Canada providing training for professionals. He is a founding member of the B.C. Association of Counsellors of Abusive Men (1993) and received their Distinguished Service Award.

Dale teaches at the Centre for Conflict Resolution at the Justice Institute of British Columbia (since 1983).
